Tagliente come la spada di un grande Samurai, protagonista di un famoso cartone animato.
Ho scelto questo nome per un nuovo studio aerodinamico che parte dalla ricerca compiuta sulla Ferrari FVJ, traducendone i risultati nella filosofia stilistica Lamborghini.
Quelli che vedete sono soltanto i primi disegni che illustrano le linee fondamentali del progetto, senza descrizioni.
Con la Goemon, ho voluto spingermi oltre i risultati conseguiti, aggiungendo una componente di evoluzione: sul cofano anteriore, infatti, appare una tripla superficie alare. È una soluzione nuova, mirata ad aumentare l'area su cui si genera il carico aerodinamico, ma anche a regolarizzare il flusso d'aria, indirizzandolo con maggior precisione e minori turbolenze. Per questo motivo, le due superfici laterali hanno un profilo "neutro", mentre solo quella centrale è sagomata come un'ala deportante.
La scelta di un nome non appartenente alla tradizione delle corride richiama un’altra storica eccezione, compiuta col modello Countach, battezzato addirittura con una tipica esclamazione di meraviglia in dialetto piemontese. L’estetica di quella vettura rivoluzionò la cultura del design, ma anche la mia Goemon, nel suo piccolo, vuole portare all’attenzione del Mondo la particolarità delle tre ali, che meriterebbe di essere verificata con opportune sperimentazioni.
GOEMON Concept: from Ferrari FVJ to Lamborghini
Sharp like the sword of a great Samurai, starring in a famous cartoon series.
I have chosen this name for a new research on aerodynamics, which starts from the contents of Ferrari FVJ, by transferring the results into the typical Lamborghini style.
These are just the first drawings that describe the essence of the project, without any technical description.
Through the Goemon Concept, I wanted to go beyond the results achieved with the Ferrari prototype, thus I added an evolution step: as a matter of fact, on the front bonnet a triple wing surface is visible.
I think it's an unprecedented solution, that increases the surface which generates the downforce, but also it reduces the turbulences and makes the air flow more regular.
To reach this purpose, the two side wings feature a "neutral" cross section, but only the one in the middle has the typical shape designed for downforces.
The choice of a name out of the tradition of bullfights recalls the hystorical exception of the Countach, which is even a wonder exclamation taken from popular language in the Italian region of Piemonte. The style of that car was a revolution in the culture of design, but also my “little” Goemon wants to show worldwide the peculiar feature of the triple wing, which deserves to pass through experimental tests to check the real efficiency.
